GAST has worked with Enterprise And High Peak Borough Council to provide 2 vehicles, and for an on-street parking/collection area.

Although slightly more expensive than a hire company, these vehicles can dropped off & collected at any time, from an uncluttered public access parking area. You do however need to be a member of the Enterprise car club to drive the vehicles, but being a member does allow you to drive any club vehicle in the country, subject to what your licence entitles you to drive.

Where ? :

The 2 vehicles are parked in 2 special bays in the small Bernard Street HPBC car park (next to the rear of the Ayubowan restaurant), behind High Street West and a short walk from B&M, Aldi, Henry Street and the Railway station.

When ? :

The car park is open access 24 hours a day. Make a booking via the Enterprise app.

How to become a member:

You will need to visit the Enterprise car club page at Glossop Automated Daily & Hourly Car & Van Hire | Enterprise Car Club and scroll down to choose your package. From there you will be asked some questions before payment. The main things you need are as follows :

Set up an email and password to login,

Give bank account and billing address, so the app can automatically charge you,

Take pictures of both you and your licence, as directed.

You will then need to wait for your application to be approved.

Charges:

The standing charge depends on your chosen package, but is charged in 15 minute increments to a daily cap. You can hire the vehicle for no more than 6 days at a time.
